Welcome to Deckster. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Deckster's AI-powered presentation drafting service (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms in full.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.

Deckster is operated by LLC Deckster, a company registered in Latvia, EU (Registration Number: 40103640670) with registered office at Rīga, Ilūkstes iela 34 - 113, LV-1082 ("Deckster", "we", "us", or "our").

  • "User", "you", or "your" refers to the individual or entity using the Service.

  • "Content" means any text, data, images, files, or other materials you provide to the Service.

  • "AI Output" means presentations, slides, text, charts, or other materials generated by the Service using artificial intelligence.

  • "Subscription" means your paid access to the Service under a monthly or annual plan.

3.1 Registration Requirements

To use the Service, you must:

  • Provide a valid email address and create a password

  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information

  • Maintain and update your account information as necessary

3.2 Account Security

You are solely responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password

  • All activities that occur under your account

  • Any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account


You must notify us immediately at hello@deckster.pro of any unauthorized access or security breach.

4.1 What Deckster Provides

Deckster is an AI-powered presentation drafting tool that generates structured presentation drafts based on your input.


The Service includes:

  • AI-generated presentation content and structure

  • Access to a curated slide library with fixed layouts

  • Context-aware content generation

  • Export functionality to PowerPoint and Google Slides formats

  • Storage of your presentations and uploaded files

4.2 What Deckster Does NOT Provide

Deckster is NOT:

  • A fact-checking or verification service

  • A research tool or source of truth

  • A guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose

  • A replacement for human judgment, expertise, or professional advice

  • A design tool for custom slide layouts or animations

5.1 Nature of AI Output

The Service uses artificial intelligence (OpenAI and Anthropic models) to generate presentation content. AI systems can:

  • Generate inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information ("hallucinations")

  • Produce content that resembles copyrighted or trademarked materials

  • Create offensive, inappropriate, or contextually wrong content

  • Misinterpret your instructions or context

5.2 User Verification Responsibility

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Verifying all AI Output for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness

  • Ensuring AI Output does not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights

  • Confirming all data, facts, figures, and claims before use

  • Reviewing AI Output for offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content

  • Determining fitness for your specific use case or purpose

5.3 No Warranty of Accuracy

We make NO warranties or representations regarding:

  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI Output

  • Suitability of AI Output for your specific purpose

  • Absence of errors, omissions, or harmful content

  • Compliance with applicable laws or regulations


You use AI Output entirely at your own risk.

5.4 Intellectual Property in AI Output

While we implement safeguards to minimize copyright/trademark infringement:

  • AI may generate content similar to existing copyrighted works

  • You are responsible for ensuring AI Output does not violate third-party IP rights

  • We are not liable for any IP infringement claims arising from your use of AI Output

6.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to Content you provide to the Service. By uploading Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to:

  • Process and store your Content

  • Use your Content to generate AI Output

  • Maintain backups for service operation


We do NOT use your Content to train AI models or for any purpose beyond providing the Service to you.

6.2 AI Output Ownership

You own all AI Output generated through your account, subject to Section 5 (verification responsibilities and IP risks)

6.3 Deckster IP

The Service, including our slide library, system architecture, interface, code, and proprietary logic, is owned by Deckster and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.


You may NOT:

  • Copy, reproduce, or reverse-engineer the Service

  • Extract or replicate our slide library or system logic

7.1 Subscription Plans

We offer monthly and annual subscription plans. Subscription fees are displayed on our website and are charged in advance.

7.2 Payment Processing

By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method:

  • At the start of your subscription period

  • Automatically on each renewal date until cancelled


Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor. We do not store your complete payment card details. Your payment information is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service available at stripe.com.

7.3 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current subscription rate.

7.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through:


Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access until that date. No partial refunds are provided for mid-period cancellations (except as provided in Section 8).

7.5 Failed Payments

If a payment fails:

  • We will attempt to process payment again

  • Your account may be suspended or restricted

  • We will retain your presentations and data for a reasonable period to allow you to resolve payment issues and reactivate your account

7.6 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes for existing subscribers take effect upon renewal after we provide at least 30 days' notice.

8.1 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are unsatisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 30 days of payment by emailing hello@deckster.pro with your request.

8.2 Refund Process

Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 14 business days of approval. Once refunded, your access to the Service terminates immediately.

8.3 Refund Exclusions

Refunds are not available for:

  • Requests made more than 30 days after payment

  • Subscription renewals (if you've already had access during a previous period)

  • Accounts terminated for Terms violations

9.1 Data We Collect

We collect and process:

  • Account information (email, password)

  • Content and files you upload

  • Presentations you create

  • Usage data and analytics (via PostHog and Google Analytics)

  • Payment information (processed by third-party payment processors)

9.2 GDPR Rights (EU Users)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data

  • Rectify inaccurate data

  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")

  • Restrict processing of your data

  • Data portability (export your presentations)

  • Object to processing

  • Withdraw consent at any time

9.3 Data Storage & Retention

  • Presentations and uploaded files are stored indefinitely unless you request deletion

  • You may request deletion of specific files or all data at any time

  • We retain data necessary for legal compliance and fraud prevention even after account deletion

9.4 Data Deletion Upon Service Shutdown

If Deckster ceases operations, all user data will be permanently deleted from all storage systems.

9.5 Third-Party Data Processing

We use third-party services that process your data:

  • Stripe (payment processing) - handles payment information securely

  • OpenAI & Anthropic (AI generation) - do NOT train models on your data

  • Heroku/Salesforce & AWS (hosting and storage)

  • Google (Google Slides/Sheets/Drive integration)

  • Cloudflare (CDN and security)

  • PostHog & Google Analytics (anonymous usage analytics)


These services have their own privacy policies and terms.

9.6 Analytics & Cookies

We use cookies and analytics tools (PostHog, Google Analytics) to track anonymous user sessions and improve the Service. These tools do NOT capture personally identifiable information beyond what you provide during registration.

9.7 No Sensitive Data

Do NOT upload highly sensitive data including:

  • Financial account credentials, credit card numbers, or passwords

  • Medical records or health information beyond necessary business context

  • Government-issued ID numbers (social security, passport numbers)

  • Information about children under 16

10.1 Service Dependencies

The Service relies on third-party providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, AWS, Heroku, and Cloudflare. We are NOT liable for:

  • Third-party service outages, failures, or degradations

  • Loss of data or functionality due to third-party issues

  • Changes to third-party terms, pricing, or availability

10.2 Fallback Systems

We maintain fallback systems (OpenAI ↔ Anthropic) to minimize disruptions, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.

10.3 Export Functionality

We provide export to PowerPoint and Google Slides formats. However:

  • Formatting differences between platforms may occur

  • We do NOT guarantee pixel-perfect rendering in all environments

  • Some features may not translate perfectly across formats

11.1 Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use the Service to:

  • Generate content that violates laws or regulations

  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others

  • Create defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive content

  • Generate spam, phishing, or fraudulent materials

  • Produce content promoting violence, terrorism, or illegal activities

  • Create content involving minors in harmful contexts

  • Circumvent security measures or access restrictions

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate the Service

  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

  • Use automated systems to abuse or overload the Service

11.2 Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate accounts violating this policy

  • Remove prohibited content

  • Report illegal activity to authorities

  • Refuse service to anyone at our discretion

12.1 Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do NOT guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

  • Specific uptime percentages or service level agreements

  • Compatibility with all devices, browsers, or software versions

  • Availability of any specific feature indefinitely

12.2 Modifications

We may, at any time and without notice:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service

  • Change features, functionality, or user interface

  • Update our slide library or AI models

  • Implement new restrictions or requirements

12.3 Maintenance

We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily restricts access. We will attempt to provide advance notice when feasible.

13.1 No Liability for AI Output

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

  • Inaccuracies, errors, or omissions in AI Output

  • Business losses, lost profits, or lost opportunities arising from use of AI Output

  • Harm caused by relying on AI Output without verification

  • Intellectual property claims related to AI Output

  • Offensive, inappropriate, or harmful content generated by AI

13.2 General Limitation

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

  • We are NOT liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages

  • We are NOT liable for loss of data, profits, revenue, business opportunities, or reputation

13.3 Exclusions

This limitation does NOT apply to:

  • Our willful misconduct or gross negligence

  • Liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including EU consumer protection laws)

  • Personal injury or death caused by our negligence

13.4 User Acknowledgment

You acknowledge that:

  • You use the Service at your own risk

  • The Service is a drafting tool requiring human verification

  • We cannot control or guarantee AI Output quality

  • You are responsible for all business decisions based on AI Output

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Deckster, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your violation of third-party rights (including intellectual property rights)

  • Content you upload or AI Output you use

  • Your reliance on AI Output without proper verification

  • Claims that your use of the Service caused harm or loss to third parties

15.1 Term

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Service.

15.2 Termination by You

You may terminate at any time by:

  • Cancelling your subscription (Section 7.4)

  • Requesting account deletion via email to hello@deckster.pro

  • Upon termination, you will retain access until the end of your paid subscription period.

15.3 Termination by Deckster

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if:

  • You violate these Terms

  • You engage in prohibited use (Section 11)

  • Your payment fails and is not resolved

  • Required by law or legal process

  • We cease operations

15.4 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your right to access the Service ends immediately (unless you have remaining paid time)

  • You may request export of your presentations before account deletion

  • We may delete your data in accordance with our retention policies

  • Sections 5, 6, 13, 14, and 16 survive termination

16.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvia and the European Union, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16.2 Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Latvia, unless you are an EU consumer entitled to bring claims in your country of residence.

16.3 Informal Resolution

Before initiating legal action, you agree to contact us at hello@deckster.pro to attempt informal resolution. We commit to good-faith efforts to resolve disputes amicably.

16.4 EU Consumer Rights

If you are an EU consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

17.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Deckster regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.

17.2 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

17.3 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

17.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign these Terms without notice (e.g., in a merger or acquisition).

17.5 Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, wars, pandemics, internet outages, third-party service failures).

17.6 Language

These Terms are provided in English. Translations may be provided for convenience, but the English version governs in case of conflict.

18.1 Right to Modify

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with a new "Last Updated" date.

18.2 Notice of Material Changes

For material changes affecting your rights, we will:

  • Email you at your registered email address at least 30 days before changes take effect

18.3 Acceptance of Changes

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to changes, you must cancel your subscription before the effective date.
